About
Tornados Eye
Tornado's Eye, the quiet heart of the storm, the inevitable base for powerful external movement. Also called 'eye of the storm’.
The show dives into the polarity and struggle of keeping a calm and controlled center while joining the whirlwinds in the outside. The Balance from one and the other.
Tornado's Eye is a poetic solo performance that unfolds like a lucid dream – a journey through sound, movement and spinning objects, where music and circus merge into a world of transformation and self-discovery.
A cellist enters the stage in a familiar way, but soon the boundaries between concert, circus and dream begin to blur. Water floats weightlessly, the cello bends into unexpected forms, objects spin beyond the edge of dizziness. Everything begins to orbit – and gradually, a new world emerges.
Inspired by a nearly forgotten childhood dream to unite cello and diabolo, artist David Eisele creates a hypnotic experience of inner alignment, balance and artistic liberation.
Tornado's Eye explores the tension between outer turbulence and inner stillness – between societal expectations and personal truth. It is a gentle, powerful invitation to pause and remember what lies at the center: clarity, play, presence.
A dreamlike dance spiralling around its own axis – and a contemporary circus piece that invites its audience to look inward while everything around keeps spinning.

About
David Eisele

David Eisele grew up at the black forest near Freiburg, Germany. He is an energetic person with a minimalistic lifestyle. Translating the emerged qualities of Diabolo and Cyr wheel into different context is in the focus of his work. The intense work with those objects made him arrive in his artistic signature: The quality of spinning.
He has presented his act, "SENSES," in over 120 performances across ten different countries. Since autumn 2018 numerous people have experienced his first solo show „CYCLE“ involving Cyr Wheel and Cello. In 2021 Eisele created „BARK" with the scandinavian collective "Acting for Climate“. Presently David Eisele is touring with "Senses" and his creation as an author and performer, "SAWDUST SYMPHONY“. This show has been touring since 2021 and was presented more than 120 times.
What sets David Eisele apart is his unique approach to experience his art from every angle available to him. Beyond his work as a performer, he engages with his creations from a craftsperson’s perspective — designing and building most of his own props — as well as through dance, music, and a deeply intuitive, spiritual lens.
